The shores of Lake Oahe, specifically the Mobridge area, boast some of the top walleye fishing in the nation, along with northern pike, bass, catfish, and other game fish. All year long, fishing is great on the open or frozen waters of the Missouri.
The Mobridge area is well-known for its abundance of wild game. Each year, thousands of hunters from across the nation visit the area for some of the best deer, antelope and ringneck pheasant hunting in the country, as well as waterfowl, grouse and dove. Pheasant hunting is one of the largest industries in South Dakota. There are several public hunting areas around the Mobridge, and the area is home to many professional guides.
In fact, there's always something to do in The Bridge City. Come golf 9 holes at our beautiful Oahe Hills Country Club, take in a movie at our Indoor or Outdoor Movie Theatre, or take in some sports activities at our City Sports Complex. Don't forget about our annual Sitting Bull Stampede and Rodeo, which takes place July 2, 3, and 4.
Along with that, attractions such as the Oscar Howe Murals, Sitting Bull & Sacagawea Monuments, Fort Manuel, and Klein Museum are all globally known and historical sites to see when visiting Mobridge.
