Schlomer's Snake Den Lodge
When it comes to pheasant hunting, there's no place on Earth like South Dakota with the highest bird populations in America. And I heartily recommend Schlomer's Snake Den Lodge... located in the heart of South Dakota's best pheasant country.
For the year 2008, the Snake Den Lodge will be able to book pheasant hunts approximately six weeks prior to the traditional opener and long after the regular season has closed. We have applied for and received a preserve license from the state of South Dakota. The idea is to allow us an expanded calendar to book some of the groups that wanted to hunt with us but could not find a spot. As most of you know, it had become almost impossible to find a spot during the regular season where we had an opening at the lodge.
What will the difference be between what we have had for the past several years and the new hunts???? If we do it right, you will not be able to tell the difference. The state says we can start earlier in the day, shoot more birds, and that we have to release one bird for every one we kill. If we limit the groups and limit the number of birds each group kills, the birds on the preserve will be no different than the birds anywhere else.
You can email Cordy Schlomer at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the website at www.snakedenlodge.com.
