" Let me tell you this about Bruce "Wickerbill" Crist. Had he been here before Lewis & Clark, he'd have been a survivor. That's the kind of outdoorsman he is.
"Wickerbill" guides for fishing (walleyes and salmon), waterfowl, pheasants and prairie grouse.
He has a stable of the best pointing dogs I've seen, a pair of English Setters and three fine Shorthairs. They're great on grouse and pheasants.
Wicker has more turkey grand slams than you can imagine, and he's the finest turkey caller and guide I've ever hunted with.
The guy can call any bird with his mouth and he's a marvelous entertainer, as well as an exhibition trick shooter and falconer. He's an annual fixture with one or the other at the SD Governor's Hunt.
He's a superb waterfowler who knows how to scout. He sets out huge spreads of decoys and his calling is professional quality.
He's a world class taxidermist too.
And I almost forgot to mention, he's also a professional dog trainer, the best in the game.
