He Ran for President Against Nixon

Pete McCloskey of CA served 7 terms in the US House of Representatives and ran for President in the GOP primary against Richard Nixon. He's a former Marine, winner of 2 Purple Hearts, plus a Silver Star for Bravery, during his hitch in Korea. Pete is a helluva guy who ran for President on an anti-war ticket. He told me that those who have been there are always reluctant to send their sons and the sons of others to another war.
