Wow! How Much Oahe Has Fallen

This dramatic photo showing the dam intakes on Oahe illustrates just how much levels have fallen as a result of the drought and the downstream insistence on running enough water through the system to float barges that are both subsidized and carrying virtually little tonnage. In spite of low water levels, officials plan to keep adequate boat ramps open to benefit fishermen.
