AUCTION FUNDRAISER, September 24, 2009 at the Best Western Ramkota Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls. We raised over $25,000 at this event, which featured live and silent auctions of items which belonged to Tony Dean, along with donated hunting and fishing gear, artwork, trip packages, and items for the home.

On February 27, 2009, Tony Dean's Acres Steering Committee members Darlene Dean, John Cooper, Paul Lepisto and Donna Leslie traveled to Rapid City to speak to the SOUTH DAKOTA WILDERNESS SYMPOSIUM about the project. The group presented Dar Dean with a print by landscape photographer, to be used in the fundraising effort.

It was a fun day during the First Annual Tony Dean Festival on Saturday, August 8 north of Pierre, SD. The day included a golf tournament at Oahe Trails - a fishing derby sponsored by South Dakota Walleyes Unlimited - a silent auction - free seminars - and the dedication of the Spring Creek Deep Water Marina. The event was coordinated by the South Dakota Department of Game Fish & Parks, Oahe Trails Properties, Spring Creek Resort, Oahe Speedway, and South Dakota Walleyes Unlimited.
