Property donated to help raise funds for Tony Dean's Acres
LeRon and Cathy Hohn have donated a 4.63 acre lot to help with the
Tony Dean's Acres fundraising effort. Money raised from the sale of this
property will be used to help fund the purchase of land for public
recreation in memory of Tony Dean, and will help fund education on
environmental and conservation issues.
The Hohn property is
located a short 25 minute from Pierre, South Dakota, in the heart of
some of the best hunting and fishing the state has to offer.
The
lot overlooks Lake Oahe on the west side of Okobojo Creek, and there is a
boat ramp available on Okobojo Creek just one-half mile away. You can
be fishing walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass just minutes from
your front door.
The state of South Dakota has established almost
12,000 acres of walk-in hunting units for waterfowl, deer and upland
game within 7 miles of the property. The Cow Creek and Spring Creek
Recreation Area is just 10 minutes away, and this area hosts two great
lodges and restaurants, plus additional boat ramps and a new deep water
marina. It would make a wonderful retirement location.
