Monster Lake Madison Walleye

Hi Tony, My buddy Martin Jarrett nailed this 10 lbs., near-shore, fall walleye behind his house on Lake Madison. His 16 year old son Nick models the fish for the camera, and the lunker goes into the books behind a whole group of 4 to 8 lbers. caught in exactly the same place and time LAST fall! I can recall as a kid doing the fall walleye "hunt" on nearby Lake Herman (1967, 68 etc) usually well into the wee hours, but never got anything close to fish like this one. Does anyone fish Herman anymore, or has chemical run-off in effect killed the lake? Anyway, I thought your readers would enjoy this "monster shot"! Tony Petres Rapid City
